How your eyes work
If someone can’t tell what your content is about in one second, their brain already moved on.
I studied Buddhism and psychology in college, and how your eyes actually work explains it. Your eyes don’t really see objects. They just collect raw data (brightness, motion, orientation) and your brain guesses the rest from what it already expects.
And the brain only has a limited amount of computational energy. So you can have all the fancy graphics in the world, but if the viewer can’t instantly see the primary focus, you’ve wasted your time.
Same rule for ads, thumbnails, landing pages, and reels. Make the one thing you want them to see impossible to miss.
